Basic tool

Other tools that may be needed

Hex wrench: Used to tighten or loosen some special types of screws or nuts.
Utility knife: Used to cut hoses or remove excess sealing materials.
Kitchen and bathroom mildew resistant sealant and glue gun: These materials are needed if you need to glue between the faucet and the countertop to increase tightness and aesthetics

Prepare the Kitchen Faucet for installation

1. Turn off the water source
Find the water inlet valve: First, you need to find the water inlet valve for the kitchen faucet, which is usually located under the sink or somewhere in the kitchen.
Close valve: Ensure that the inlet valve is completely closed to prevent water from flowing out during installation.
2. Check accessories
Check list: Check that all necessary accessories are complete according to the list of accessories in the purchased faucet package.
Check quality: Check accessories for damage or missing, especially key components such as sealing gaskets, nuts, and mounting feet.

3. Clear the installation area
Remove old faucets (if applicable) : If you need to replace an old faucet, remove it first and clean the installation area to make sure there is no residue or impurities.

4. Prepare tools

6. Plan the layout

Installation procedure

Connecting inlet hose

Fixed faucet

Connecting inlet pipe
Connect the other end of the water inlet hose to the kitchen intake line, making sure the connection is tight.
If you use an Angle valve, you need to secure the Angle valve to the wall and connect the inlet hose to the Angle valve.
Check tightness
Wrap an appropriate amount of raw material tape or sealing tape around the joint to increase the tightness.
Check all joints for leaks and tighten further with a wrench if necessary.
Test faucet
Open the water inlet valve and check the faucet for leaks.
Make sure faucet water flow smoothly, no blockage phenomenon.

Matters needing attention

Distinguish between hot and cold water pipes: During the installation process, it is necessary to distinguish between hot and cold water pipes to avoid wrong connection.
Tighten the nut: When fixing the faucet, ensure that the nut is tightened to avoid loose faucet or water leakage.
Use raw material tape: Wrapping raw material tape around the joint can increase the tightness, but be careful not to wrap too much to avoid clogging.
